Survey site are a great option if you want to make some quick cash on the go, or at home.

Choosing the right survey sight is the tricky part. You can go with an obvious choice like Swagbucks, or you can branch out with sites like UTellUs. In this full review I will be evaluating the pros and the cons to help you decide if UTellUs is right for you.

UTellUs is an online survey panel run by  Precision Opinion, one of the largest market research firms in the United States. Based out of Las Vegas, NV, Precision Opinion has been providing quality research for over 20 years.

If you'd like to get started now, you can sign up here.

Getting Started

Something that is unique about UTellUs is that they are an invitation only online research panel. If you have been invited to join, you will receive a letter in the mail containing a Personal Access Code. You can then register using this code.

When you register with UTellUs, you have the the say in which way you'd prefer to be contacted concerning surveys.  If at any time you like to change your contact preferences, you can reach out to support staff at [email protected] or call their toll free number at 1-844-247-0693.

-Logging in is simple.  All you have to do is click on the ‘Overview' tab in the menu bar and on that page, on the right side of the screen, there will be a log in section.  Enter your email and password, and then you are good to go!

UTellUs Surveys

Members can earn rewards by taking short, simple UTellUs surveys online, over the phone, or by mail.

Things are operated on a points system, and for the points for every survey you complete can then be converted into gift cards. The average survey goes for 100 to 500 points, which is equal to $1 to $5.

At a minimum, you will receive one survey invitation per month.  However, we allow our members to take up to four surveys per month, on average. Most people have reported that they have received between one and five surveys each month. They are sent to you based on your interests – ranging from politics to pets, technology to travel destinations, and favorite activities to finances and current events.

Payment

UTellUs offers rewards in form of electronic gift cards for places like Chili's, Barnes & Noble, Domino's Pizza, Lowe's, Hulu Plus, Regal Entertainment Group, Amazon.com and many more.

When you log in to your UTellUs profile page, there will be a button in the top right hand corner that says ‘Redeem Points’.  This link will lead you to a page where you will be able to select which gift card you prefer and for how much.

You may redeem your U-Points as soon as you accumulate 2,000 points.  At this point, you will be able to turn those points into dollars with electronic gift cards.

Privacy

Before joining any survey site, it's beneficial to consider the aspects of privacy because their policies can be a lens into whether they're legitimate or not. It's important to know that your personal information is being handled responsibly.

UTellUs is committed to protecting your privacy.  In their privacy policy they promise to never sell, trade or make available your private information to any third party without your consent. Your responses will never be publicly connected to your personal identity.

Although things in the privacy policy sounded promising, I did find one red flag. Precision Opinion, inc., the company who manages UTellUs, has an F rating from the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

Complainants allege that the business is in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). People have reported that they have received unwanted telephone solicitations from the business. Some report that when they answer, no one on the other line speaks to them and no messages are left.  When consumers use the automated telephone option to remove their phone number, the calls continue. This has raised suspicions for me since they are the company that runs UTellUs.

Legit Or A Scam?

Despite the red flag found previously, I would still consider this site legitimate. While allegations have been made against the parent company, there are no reports that I have found that state they are proven. Additionally, there are no bad signs found within UTellUs.

UTellUs certainly pays, and they follow within our perimeters of a legitimate website in our guided steps of how to tell whether a survey website is legitimate or not.

Conclusion

Overall, UTellUs is a solid survey website. They are legitimate, they pay, and are safe to join.

Despite their obvious earning potential, it's likely you won't be able to make an average yearly income off of this site alone. Why? Survey sites work best as convenient ways to make money on the side. That being said, don't quit your day job.

Hopefully by now this review has helped you decide whether UTellUs is right for you. If you have decided that you are in favor of this site, waste no more time and get started now!

If you have decided the latter, there are still plenty of great review sites out there. Out of all the survey sites out there, many prefer Swagbucks. Rated #1 on our review site, it's dependable and easy to use. You can learn more in our full review here.
