SurveySavvy is one of those get-paid-to-complete surveys website, but with a few key differences. We'll cover these differences later in our SurveySavvy review; they could mean the difference between you making some decent money on the site or not.
The catchy phrase SurveySavvy can create a lot of misspellings and confusion. People sometimes type in Savvey, Savey or even Savy, but the site can be accessed by going directly to surveysavvy.com. Up front, the site advertises itself as an online survey panel that pays its participants for giving their opinions. SurveySavvy was conceived in 1999 by a California-based market research company Luth Research. The site boasts more than a million panel participants scattered in about 200 countries. Furthermore, the Better Business Bureau has listed parent company Luth LLC with an A+ rating.
Registering for an account with SurveySavvy is free. The only requirements are that you have to be above the age of 14 and need access to a computer with an internet connection. SurveySavvy is somewhat like a survey panel that gets marketing information and research via surveys. You'll find that the surveys provided pay reasonably well.
How It Works
SurveySavvy has a registration page that only takes a few minutes to do. In it, you are required to put in your employment status, contact information, household income, age, education level, gender and race. This information help SurveySavvy review your profile and select good surveys for you. Their privacy policy promises that none of this information is given to third parties without your express consent. After you fill in your information, an email will be sent to your inbox for verification; click the link to complete the registration process and acquire your login credentials. You will then start receiving invites to participate in surveys as they become available.

As with most paid-to-complete survey websites, members are paid when they complete online surveys. The rate per survey can be anywhere from $.50 to $2. It's about the same as with all other similar websites, with the exception of a few unique features that you may or may not like. Here are a few good points:
High-paying Surveys. Sometimes panels may give a greater incentive to its participants for completing the survey. While there have been complaints about very few surveys being available, some occasional surveys pay from $5 up to a whopping $50 for one survey. This is quite uncommon though.
Very Low Cashout Threshold. One really sweet feature is that SurveySavvy has one of the lowest cash-outs in the business. While some survey panels require an account balance of $50 to cash out, you only need $1 to receive your money with SurveySavvy.
Most Countries are Supported. Panels are located the whole world over, so you won't need to be a US resident to register for a SurveySavvy account.
Robust Referral Program. If used tactfully, this feature can prove to be one of your best money-makers in SurveySavvy.
How To Make Money With SurveySavvy
Completing a survey gives you up to $2, or more if you're lucky, which is a good rate. You only need $1 to cash out, which is a lot lower than other survey websites out there. Another great feature is that any time you're disqualified for a survey, you'll automatically be entered for a chance to win their monthly prize draws, from which you could win one of the fifty $10 prizes.
Keeping your SurveySavvy profile updated gives you a chance for more surveys. In some instances, the website will try to contact you for survey answer verification and information.
Referrals are a major part of any paid survey websites, and SurveySavvy isn't any different. They have a 2-tier referral program which gives you earnings when your direct referral takes action. You will also get earnings when your referrals refer someone else to take paid surveys. If you know how to acquire good referrals, then SurveySavvy is a great survey site option for you. You start to earn from your referrals after 1 to 3 months after they have completed a survey.
SurveySavvy is versatile in that you can earn money via other means. Savvy Connect is a feature that pays you for surfing the net. This is a recently-launched endeavor that was created in order to gather data on how members behave on the web on both mobile devices and computers.
Speaking of which, the Savvy Connect app tracks your behavior as you surf the net. It may not seem like much to you, but major marketing companies pay a lot for this type of data. They can use this information to improve marketing campaigns and product development. It's important to note that Savvy Connect is an optional means of making money. You don't need to do this if you're uncomfortable sharing your browsing habits to other companies. Otherwise, it can fill up the downtime as you wait for surveys to come up quite nicely.
Is SurveySavvy Legit?
In looking at online-based paid-to-survey websites, there are two important questions. Firstly, is the site a scam? If you're certain that your information is safe with the selected site the second question becomes, can you actually make money using the site?
From what we've gathered, SurveySavvy is fully legit. The site is completely free to join. Though the website's customer service isn't exactly the best, and you may have a period of time where there's no surveys available, you can be sure that you get paid for the surveys you complete.
They also have a comprehensive privacy policy readily viewable on their homepage. This is a great sign any time you're checking out a paid survey site. The SurveySavvy privacy policy promises that all your personally identifiable information is confidential and that they will never solicit or sell user information to any third party. SurveySavvy currently does not support PayPal. Payments are sent via check to your address. There have been reports of checks taking over a month to be received, but hey, at least you'd get paid, right?
Is It Worth My Time?
If you're already registered with multiple paid survey sites and like doing surveys to supplement your income, then SurveySavvy is another great one to sign up for. While they don't have a ton of surveys available, the one's that are present are generally well paid.
