SendEarnings has a straightforward sign up process. You just have to sign up with your email address and confirm your activation through your email.

After you log in for the first time, you’ll notice the links for offers, surveys, games, etc. To maximize your earnings, you should consider spending a bulk of your time on completing offers and taking surveys, when you do qualify for some.

How to Earn Cash

SendEarnings works differently than other survey sites in that instead of “points,” they reward you with cash. Psychologically speaking, it might discourage you to see $0.50 earning per survey instead of 50 points. They’re exactly the same value, but human minds work in strange ways.

Good thing about SendEarnings is that you get $5 just for signing up. You also complete a list of tasks for $0.50. So within 10 minutes of signing up, you already earn more than $5.50. Not a bad deal for a few seconds of clicking.

There are several ways you can earn cash on SendEarnings. Some ways give you a better ROI than others, but they’re all worth exploring so you can strategize better.

Ah, the dreaded surveys. They’re great if you qualify for them, but the path to qualification is rife with frustration. One good thing that SendEarnings has is that their pre-survey questions are short. You can have many surveys “available,” but not qualify for any one of them.

Games are not the most cost-effective way to earn cash on SendEarnings. You have to join GSN games to earn cash back rewards, so it’s not just a matter of getting rewarded for simply playing.

Games are only recommended if you enjoy playing them in your own time, and you regularly spend money buying them.

SendEarnings has a proprietary search engine within their website. You can earn a maximum of $0.15 per day for using their search engine. You earn $0.01 for each of your first 5 “qualified” searches. What counts as “qualified” is anyone’s guess, but once you do make them, you earn $0.01 for every 2 qualified searches thereafter.

The search engine isn’t particularly groundbreaking or fast, but if you make searches anyway, this is a painless way to earn some cash on SendEarnings.

5. Videos

Like many other sites, you can watch videos to earn cash. However, this is perhaps the worst way to make money on SendEarnings. They pay pittance, often only $0.01. Surely your time is worth more than that. You can skip this unless you’re really bored and don’t mind mixing things up.

6. Referrals

SendEarnings’ referral scheme isn’t particularly inspiring. Instead of paying you outright, you get a percentage (10%) of the earnings from your referrals.

7. Coupons

Redeeming coupons is an excellent way to make cash on SendEarnings. You get $0.10 for every coupon you redeem, so it can add up if you’re planning a big shopping trip to the grocery store.

Of course, it goes without saying that you should only redeem coupons for items you would buy anyway.

8. Reading Emails

Several times a week, you’ll get what’s known as “Paid Emails” in your email inbox, like this one:

All you have to do is click on them to read, and you earn cash. It’s not a whole lot (usually $0.10 per email), but for doing nothing but clicking, that’s a pretty darn good way to earn money.

9. Cash Tasks

You complete small tasks, like translating a phrase or identifying the content of a photograph, and get paid. It works similar to Amazon’s Mechanical Turk.

Again, it’s not the best way to make money because the ROI on your time is not great, but the option is available if you want to vary things up.

Types of Rewards & How to Redeem

Since SendEarnings rewards you in cash, you’ll get your payouts in cash. Rather, they’ll mail you a check. The minimum payout is $30.

SendEarnings has a lot of good things going on for them.

Simple Interface

Unlike some other similar sites, the website for SendEarning’s isn’t littered with live Twitter feeds or “shoutboxes.” It’s clean and easy to navigate.

Variety

You can earn cash on SendPoints in a variety of ways. Some pay better than others, but if you are bored with taking surveys (or can’t qualify for them), you can always mix it up by completing offers, watching videos, playing games, using their search engine, or completing micro tasks.

Ease of Earning Cash

The ease of simply reading emails and earning cash that way can’t be understated. And you get $5 just for signing up, and additional $0.50 for completing a simple list of tasks.

You also get $0.10 for just redeeming coupons, which is relatively painless.

Hard to Qualify for Surveys

This is a common theme among survey sites, because surveys often look for very specific demographics. You’re bound to not qualify for a lot of them. Just spend a few minutes each time you log onto SendEarnings and answer the pre-survey questions. If you don’t qualify for any, just move on.

Getting Paid

There are several issues with getting paid on SendEarnings. First, they only send your payment by check in the mail. What year is this? They’re clearly behind when they can simply transfer the funds electronically through PayPal.

Second, you only get to redeem your earnings after accumulating $30. Depending on how much time you spend on SendEarnings, this can take a long time.

Just think of it this way: on other sites that are based on points, you can often redeem points after 500 or 1,000 points. That’s only $5 or $10. If you translated SendEarnings’ $30 threshold to points, you’d need 3,000 points just to redeem.

Furthermore, they charge a $3 processing fee for each payment, which is a big slap in the face. And your check will definitely not arrive within 30 days, because they’re on what’s called a Net-30 payment schedule. This means if you order your check any day in January, they’ll process your request on March 1.

Conclusion

Is SendEarnings legit, or is it a scam?

SendEarnings is not listed on the website for Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the parent company, CotterWeb Enterprises has an A+ rating on BBB. Chief complaints seem to be slow payouts.

SendEarnings is a completely legitimate site, but it’s hard to recommend wholeheartedly because of their weird payment policy.

If you can get past waiting for your payment, and you can earn $30 relatively fast, and you can stomach the $3 processing fee, SendEarnings really has a lot going for them.

Because there are so many ways you can earn on SendEarnings, you can have your pick. Don’t be too discouraged if you don’t qualify for many surveys (as that will happen inevitably). You can rack up cash earnings easily just by maximizing your time on offers, reading emails, and redeeming coupons.

Keep in mind that as with any other trials, you should be vigilant and cancel trial offers before they expire. Also, don’t redeem coupons for things you would otherwise not buy! It’s a good practice to have a shopping list before you scour the coupons section, so you have a clear game plan.

You’ll notice that there is no typical “rewards” gallery that offers you a variety of ways to redeem. That’s because SendEarnings is strictly cash-based. After all, who needs rewards when you can get cash? The bad thing about this system is that it’s less motivating to completely surveys or offers for $0.50 than for 50 points.

Other than the payment policy, SendEarnings is a solid site to spend your time on to earn a quick buck here and there. It has an uncomplicated interface and offers variety when it comes to earnings.
